Primrose Hill Surgery Vaccinations

Primrose Hill Surgery News

Dr Abanti Paul, the lead Doctor at Primrose Hill Surgery has been chosen to lead the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination programme for the local Primary Care Network. The programme started a week before Christmas from the Belsize Priory Medical Centre in Belsize Road which will be the vaccination ‘Hub’ serving 9 local GP practices with assistance from doctors, staff & volunteers from the participating practices.

Patients are asked NOT to phone the practice to enquire when they will be getting their vaccinations. Patients will be contacted directly by the practice when their turn (dictated by which priority ‘tier’ group one falls into, by age or co-morbidity etc). The first priority has been to vaccinate the over 80s age group and the target is to give at least the first vaccination (at the time of writing either the Pfizer/BioNTech or the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine depending on availability). Dr Paul says the target is to vaccinate the over 70s age group by Valentines Day!

The Primrose Hill Surgery premises at 99 Regent’s Park Road is currently undergoing a major refurbishment, to include a new ‘shop front’, improved central heating system and reconfiguration to maximise available space which will result in two additional clinical consulting rooms once the work is completed by the end of March.
