With Gill Jacobs on zoom on Saturday February 13th 4-5.30pm

We shall be chopping and fermenting vegetables together to make sauerkraut.

Discover a wonderful way to use up winter vegetables and learn how to improve your health with millions of beneficial gut bacteria. Professor Tim Spector of the COVID 19 Zoe app, used by millions of us in the UK to understand Covid, advises us all to focus on our gut bacteria, the source of a healthy immune system.

This is the best way to do that.

We shall talk about making raw milk kefir, and beetroot kvass and how having your own constant supply will also add to your defences against the virus.

See Guardian article about a previous Transition Kentish Town course that Gill ran.

We look forward to sharing skills and knowledge with you.

Gill Jacobs is a health writer who helped set up Transition Kentish Town. She started to teach fermentation in face-to-face classes from that time. She has lectured on fermentation for the Permaculture Association at Cecil Sharp House in Primrose Hill, and is delighted to ‘come back’ now, even though tasting will not be possible!

Once you are booked in we shall send more detailed instructions on what to have ready In your kitchen for the workshop. But if you don’t want to do chopping, it’s fine to watch others do the hard work!

There will be plenty of time for interaction and questions whilst we chop.

Places are limited to 40 people, so register now.
