Located on the southernmost tip of Devon, the unique little town of Salcombe draws a loyal host of families who return year after year. Sailing boats pepper the water and families enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches that can be reached by a short ferry ride across the busy harbour. Out of season it’s laid back feel and local atmosphere returns and the town slips back into its local vibe.
The location of the town is ideal for exploring the very special South West Coast Path with its rugged terrain, secret coves and possible wreck spotting. For more adventurous types there are opportunities to go water skiing, power boating, surfing, paddle board, coasteering or kayaking. However, if retail therapy and sampling gastronomic delights are more your thing, then Salcombe’s town centre is full of gorgeous shops and pubs and restaurants serve delicious fresh fish landed daily on the quayside and other local produce.
