Covid 19 and its lockdowns have brought a high degree of stress to many of our lives. But what is stress, and when does stress become trauma? And how do we best develop and sustain resilience?
This online event will feature a conversation between a psychotherapist and a craniosacral therapist (a body-based or somatic treatment method), and will seek to make sense of the mind body connection in the light of recent neuroscience. It will touch on the following areas:
- Stress, trauma and overwhelm
- Why biology before psychology?
- The autonomic nervous system and the social nervous system
- Attachment and neuroscience
- Embodiment and self-regulation
- Resilience and post-traumatic growth
