Our annual Burns Supper at the Community Centre will take a slightly different form this year, due to these Covid times. It will be broadcast online and live-streamed direct to your sofa or dining table!
There will be no change, of course, in the quality of guests, music, verse and images (some live, some prerecorded) thus enabling us to gather to honour, on the occasion of his birthday as celebrated worldwide, the great Bard of Scotland – ROBERT BURNS.
Special guest, Denis Lawson who will give us The Immortal Memory and his rendition of “Tae’ a virus” and with contributions from Arthur Scammell, Catherine McQueen, Ian Bremner, James Hamilton, Jeremy Clancy, Layla Brown and Tim Bruce.
We invite you to prepare your own Burns Supper and Hot Toddy (or drink of your choice), and have put together a Burns Night Resources Page where you should find all you need to enjoy the evening at home. Our programme will last for an hour – please feel free to have your Supper before, during, or after.
There will be a couple of breakout sessions where you will have the opportunity to raise a glass with other guests. Slainte mhath!
