Our new activity ‘Singing for the Brain’ starts at the community centre on Tuesday 16th April and will be every Tuesday (in term time) from 3pm to 5pm.

From 3 to 3.30pm we will open our café for tea and cakes (and chat), 3.30 to 4.30pm is the singing session, and then from 4.30 to 5pm we shall socialise in the café again.

The session is aimed at people with dementia or other neurological conditions and their carers. We are also actively looking for volunteers to help with the session, if interested email mick@phca.cc.

Singing can improve your brain activity, wellbeing and mood, and you don’t need to be a good singer to benefit.

Join us to:

  • do fun vocal warm-ups and sing a wide variety of familiar and new songs
  • express yourself, feel positive and make new friends
  • feel supported by our skilled, compassionate and experienced staff who are available to support you with anything you need

100% of people who go along to Singing for the Brain sessions say they’ve improved their life in some way
